Pokémon Brown is a famous hack of Pokémon Red Version, with it’s initial version released sometime in the early 2000s and updates released periodically over the last 15 years or so. It completely replaces Kanto with a brand new region (called Rijon), complete with its own story, trainers, gym leaders and Pokémon distribution (as well as the ability to visit Johto!).
